I Can’t Draw

I would like to do comics.

Me and a couple of friends were gonna make some comics. I was planning on handling the writing, since one of those friends was a really good artist. Unfortunately it doesn’t look like he’s interested anymore. But I still really want to do this. The only thing holding me back is that I’m not a very good artist, but if I can get back on that horse then I’ll be able to get stuff done myself.

So, I’ll have to start taking classes again, but to augment this, some books:

  • Figure Drawing For All It’s Worth – Andrew Loomis
  • Perspective! For Comic Book Artists – David Chelsea
  • Dynamic Anatomy – Burne Hogarth

There will be more, but these are a start.

I’ll spend an hour each day on a book, and when I’ve gotten through it I’ll start on the next one. Hopefully, within a year’s time I will have achieved a respectable level of skill.

The Adventures of Mark Twain

I can’t help but find the idea of little claymation people making littler claymation people absolutely fascinating.

It’s from a movie called The Adventures of Mark Twain.

I have discovered LibraryThing, and it would seem that my life is now forfeit under it’s power.
